The winemaker
Whilst making wine is Max’s great passion, his fascination for wine goes even further. He constantly reads about every aspect of wine, scouring magazines, books and the internet in a quest to continually increase his knowledge with the most up to date information. The little spare time he has left after his commitments to family and winemaking are spent with his fire-red Vespa, which he painstakingly takes apart, nurses to sparkling health and then puts back together again. As a result, his Vespa always has that certain something to distinguish it, just as the Riegelhofer wines do, namely, a real kick.
